Mosquito/Tick Spray Programs

Spraying will occur via a spray rig truck rather than a backpack spray system. This piece of equipment allows for a much more thorough application and more volume to be sprayed. We are able to treat up 30 feet into the woods line, shrubs around the house, taller grasses, standing water zones, decks and shaded zones, and areas where mosquitos nest. Rather than spraying 4 gallons from a backpack sprayer we are able to spray 15-25 gallons per application depending on the size of your property. We use a sticker product inside the spray as well to reduce drifting and help the application last longer between sprays. We recommend spraying every 2-4 weeks depending on the property and how close you might be to mosquito nesting zones that are not on your property, ie standing bodies of water, ponds/lakes, marshes/wetlands, etc. Client to determine and adjust spraying as needed. Normal program would be 8-10 applications.

Prevention

• Wear long, light-colored pants tucked into your socks or boots, and a long-sleeved shirt. This may be difficult to do when the weather is hot, but it will help keep mosquitos and ticks away from your skin and help you spot a tick on your clothing faster.
• Stay on cleared trails when walking or hiking, avoiding the edge habitat where mosquitos and ticks are likely to be
• Talk to your veterinarian about mosquito and tick control options (tick collars, repellents) for your pets
• Hire a professional to control mosquito and tick populations in your yard or business.

How Are Your Services Different?

Our equipment allows us to effectively spray up to 30 feet into the woods line, under decks, plants, lawns, shaded/wet areas, and areas most prone for mosquitos to habitat. We are able to add a sticker to the mix allowing our application to last longer. The normal backpack spray application only allows for 4 gallons to be sprayed and about 6-8’ from the nozzle of the sprayer. Heavily wooded properties this is just not an effective approach.
