Why Is Fertilizing Beneficial To Me?
If you are sick of combatting weed growth in your lawn or garden, our methods can suppress up to 95% of weed growth. A good fertilizing program will take all of these factors into consideration and work to nourish your grass so that it can thrive. Likewise, your other plants like bushes and shrubs require proper nourishment too. Many perennial plants and bushes will not bloom or grow to full potential without a little extra help from fertilizer treatments. Nutrient deficient plants are less prepared to combat drought, disease, and insect damage. Set every element of your landscaping up for success by employing a fertilizer plan with MF Landscape & Design to keep your property looking the best it can.

Why Is Insect Spraying Beneficial To Me?
Insect Spraying is essential to enjoying outdoor living on your property during the spring, summer, and fall months. MF Landscape & Design has been working in the New England area for many years and understands the unique environmental pressures and pest problems that typically plague the region. Foliage eating insects and mosquitoes have the potential to do a lot of damage to your trees and bushes, we use organic insect spraying techniques to safely and effectively wipe out pest populations. A well-designed insect spraying program keeps trees and plants healthy and free from harmful insects.
You put a lot of care into your property, don’t let your effort and resources be lost to insect damage. The same goes for larger pests such and birds, rabbits, squirrels, and deer, all of these pests can wreak havoc on your property throughout the year. A well-timed pest control regimen can deter these critters from entering your yard and damaging tender, sensitive plants. Likewise, you don’t like being bitten by mosquitoes while trying to enjoy your backyard or patio and we get that. If you give us 48 hours notice we can spray your yard for mosquitoes so that you can plan to entertain and enjoy your property.
MF Landscape & Design uses industry standard green chemicals to control pest populations in your yard and this approach also prevents pests from potentially entering your home. MF Landscape & Design knows just how to keep your property well maintained and pest free while encouraging optimum growth from your plants. Call MF for an Insect Spraying free consultation.
What Is The Process For Fertilizing?
All of our employees at MF Landscape & Design are fully trained and licensed to use the spray and fertilizer applications used in our services. MF Landscape & Design uses the highest grade inputs and spreaders to apply fertilizer and pest control agents. There are specific application rates for every fertilizer and weed control input – using high-quality products and spreaders ensures that these rates are being met in a safe, effective, and responsible manner.
MF Landscape & Design uses organic products that are industry proven to have the best response to the problems your lawn and other plants are facing. Depending on the current state of your lawn and the problems you are facing we can adapt programs that are four to six steps to maintain your lawn. Part of proper fertilizing includes figuring out exactly what the needs and trouble areas of your lawn or garden are. We test for values such as pH, salinity, nitrogen content, and other important markers to determine which fertilizer is best for your property. Starting with an analysis allows MF Landscape & Design to tailor a fertilization plan precisely to the needs of your lawn and garden. We do this for every property we fertilize to ensure we are taking all the necessary steps to make your lawn the best in the neighborhood.

Lawn Fertilizing Schedule
Early Spring: FEB 1 – APRIL 30
Our first application of lawn fertilization aims to prevent pesky weeds and crabgrass, as well as provides food for the lawn/ fertilization. Kick off the season right! Apply in early spring, anytime between February and April when temperatures are under 80º. Be sure to prevent weeds and crabgrass before they can germinate. It also feeds to green up a wintery brown lawn, too.
PHASE 2 LAWN FERTILIZATION
Late Spring: APR 30 – JUNE 1
Continue to stop the weeds, and nourish the grass! Be sure to apply Phase 2 Lawn Fertilization to further stop weeds, crabgrass, and Dandelions! Apply late Spring anytime between April 30 and June 1, or 4-6 weeks after applying Phase 1. Our Phase 2 lawn fertilization aims to kill many broadleaf weeds like dandelions while feeding and nourishing the lawn. Phase 2 lawn fertilization is extremely important in building a thick, green turf from the roots up.
PHASE 3 LAWN FERTILIZATION
Early Summer: JUNE 1 – JULY 30
Phase 3 Lawn Fertilization is all about making that beautiful, weed-free lawn nice and green during the early Summer months!
To further protect your lawn against Crabgrass and weeds, we also recommend applying an additional protective layer of weed control. Give your lawn a fertilization boost with an early Summer fertilization application. We recommend an application of fertilizer in the summer, between June and July in order to feed and strengthen the lawn, protect it against weeds/ crabgrass, as well as protect it against drought and high temperatures.

Mid Summer: JULY 30 – AUG 30
It’s time to control pesky insects that may destroy your lawn, such as Grubs and surface-feeding insects. We apply Insect and Grub control application, fertilization to your lawn (recommended early and late fall), or 2-3 weeks after the previous application of fertilizer to your lawn. This application will prepare your lawn for the Fall months. This is also the perfect time to apply another application of weed control and spot treat any pesky areas of the lawn with weeds.
PHASE 5 LAWN FERTILIZATION
Late Summer/ Early Fall: AUG 30 – SEPT 30
It’s time to feed the Lawn for the fall. We apply fertilization to your lawn and another application of weed control (recommended early and late fall), or 4-6 weeks after the previous application of fertilizer to your lawn. This fall application to your lawn will help strengthen and protect it until next spring.
